These flower breathing balls are an engaging tactile cue, effective in helping young people practice slow, deep breathing. The tight ball is 18cm in diameter but can expand to 30cm.
How do I use this product?
Try this quick and easy mindful breathing exercise:
Encourage your child to hold the ball in front of them while they sit or stand in a comfortable position. Ask them to take a deep breath in as they open the ball up. They should breathe slowly in through the nose for the count of 3, and imagine filling the ball up with air as their belly also expands. Pause for a moment. Then ask them to push the ball back in as they exhale for the count of 3, expelling the air from their belly as the ball returns to its normal size.
Repeat as many times as needed, or until your child is feeling calm and centred.
